DEEP, is a Halo 5 Machinima Short, written and produced by Ascend Hyperion. It was released in April 2018. DEEP takes place in 2553. A rescue diver is tasked with locating a sunken ODST pod, who's navigation system failed.

Summary[]
The navigation systems on an ODST drop pod fail and the pod crashes into a vast ocean. A nearby Deep Sea Monitoring Station, DSS 1313: Nautilus, receives the distress signal from the pod and dispatches a submarine diver to rescue the sunken ODST.
Impact in the AMU[]
DEEP is unique in that it is the only canon AMU production that shares no known relevance to the characters and events of the Huntress saga. That being said, the events of DEEP have no noted impact in the grander AMU.
Trivia[]
- Of the three highlighted characters in DEEP, none are referred to by their real names. The Diver uses the callsign, Tentacle 1, the radio operator uses the callsign, Nautilus and the ODST is referred to as Delta-Jumper 11.
- The Diver carries a DMR, despite being a non-combat personnel. Supposedly, this was in case the local sea life attacked the sub.
